Welcome to the Blog/Author Instructions

The title of the blog was one of the lesser-known superhero groups of D.C. Comics because it was pretty hard to come up with a blog title that really encapsulated everything everyone was doing, so I thought it might be more fun to think of ourselves as a group of superheroes. Challengers of the Unknown seemed to speak to the idea of setting goals and trying new things. The runner up was Legion of Substitute Heroes, which didn't really have anything to do with setting goals, but sounded funny.

You may notice that the blog address does not match the blog title. The address challengersoftheunknown.blogspot.com was already being used by someone else, so I had to get a little creative. Sorry.

After conferencing with some people, I think this is how it will best work:

Come up with a name for yourself that describes either who you are or what you will be blogging about, and use that in the title of all of your posts. For example, I suggested that Melanee call herself Mama Bird, since she will be trying out a new dinner recipe each week. So her blog postings would be something like "Mama Bird: Pioneer Woman Meatloaf," or something to that effect. And then, when she posts, she will label all of her posts with Mama Bird, so that we can separate these out by author. Get as creative as you want with your own postings. In your first post, introduce yourself and what you are doing. If you want to include a picture of yourself, or the celebrity who will be playing you when this blog becomes a movie, feel free to do that, also. And if you would like to invite other people to be a part of this blog, feel free to do that, as well, or to link this blog to your blog. I invited everyone who expressed interest to be an author of this blog, which I think means you can invite anyone you want to also be an author of this blog.

And if any of you creative people wants to come up with a new template for this blog, I have no objections.

Ready, set, post!
